Speculation

CVE has been weak in the last few days, weaker than the industry at first sight.

Could it be that they have to increase their bid (or conditions such as ALL CASH) to get control of GXE?

Heh Pierre  I wish you were right but I think this deal is pretty minor for cve ad there are probably not any other bidders so I can't see why they would increase their bid. they probably think it is gxe job to get this deal done.

Investors approving the deal would get some cash and shares in an even smaller company (about 30/35% of GXE production). Bonjour Pierre I hope you are right but everything you said is predicated on the No (against technically) capture more than one third of the vote. I am not so confidnet that we, the NO, will get that. I am not so confident that the moajority of GXE share holders are puttin enough, if any attention on this issue.
