Is switching from copper to less expensive aluminum for many jobs .
not good for copper !

I bought trailer lights wiring from Crappy tire 2 years back and all the wires this season are powder and non conductive. Alunimum wire is not safe to use as an alternative to copper. Due to the increased fire risk, you may have a hard time finding home insurance if aluminum is used in your home wiring.

I agree but they are still doing it . i bought a house in the 1970 s ,brand new and wired with aluminum ,I always worried about fires andwasglad to get rid of it !
