Why would the sp go down if natty continues to go up?  As I and WinterBaron have noted on this board the value is not affected by the consolidation.

partly optics, also a larger number (share price) has more air under it, more room to fall (shorters like that). However the last 3 splits i see no evidence of a split related damage. the last one in 23 was 1 for 15, and the price days before after closely followed the natgas price. the 2 previous 1 for 5 splits had similar dynamics. Value doesn't change with a consolidation/reverse split realdude. What does often happen is that a whole new set of traders step on to the floor and it is common to see a new range of share price volatility until  most of the smaller players move on to something else where the share price numbers are less intimidating. i wish what you guys are saying is true. i have been trading this for almost 25 years, pretty much since inception and learned the hard way regarding the fine print of this financial instrument. Hnu will lose a lot of value after tomorrows close. you have been given a heads up. otherwise do your own homework (obviously). cheers and good luck. hope for cold weather.

No doubt some agree with  your assessment. Have to wonder why you have stayed with this for 25 years in light of the bad experiences. As for me, what can I say other than; I hope for and anticipate a more positive outcome over the near term (couple of months)
