braced myelf for some hefty writeoffs related to the Bow deal..longer tmer think its fine, but putting some protection in place for next week..think it could be ugly..

Per previosu Scotia analyis, pretty much a wash vs. carrying value except for future mgmt fees..worse yet, Scotia expected an 11% decline in FFO associated with this transaction...also whats the impact on other apsects of the office portfolio?  Predict a dizzying amount of adjustments to basic earnings but bottom line is, future cashflow is going down as a result fo the transaction, even if ...more

In case you boys didn't figure it out yet, REITS do NOT move on earnings.  The macro environment is bigger here and they all trade irrelevant to their report based on market conditions

sunsurfer Your comments are valid overall. One point is that in 100 cases out of 100  cash flow is reduced when a bunch of assets are sold.  Cash flow or FFO is restored as soon as the  freed up money is reinvested in income  producing properties. In our particular case we will immediately  enjoy a cut in interest expenses but there  may be vert few acquisitions ...more

don't get me wrong guys, long term bullish on H&R, but expectations for near term divy increases that will in turn lift unit prices are on hold for the next 6-12 months while they reorganize..expect that to be made clear in mgmt comments..as a result I think were heading for a 3-6 month period of dips/flat trading due to the dashed dreams of quick riches..in this environment, may as well ...more
