Split up

I suspect if and when it happens if you have 5000 shares of HR at lets say $16.00, ($80,000 total value) you will get 5000 shares of each division, so You will get 5000 shares of industrial at lets just say $4/share, 5000 shares of retail at $5/share, 5000 shares of office at $6/share, and 5000 shares of residential at $5/share.... So this is just guestimates, you would end up with a total value of $100,000???????? I am just guessing this is what will happen, but then there has been some discussion on yahoo about how this will affect margin. I can imagine if you have a lot of margin and suddenly its split into 4 sections at a lesser value that is not as marginable, you might get sold out, or at least a portion anyway.

Conceptually you might get 0.5 shares for Division A 0.4 shares for Division B 0.3 shares for Division C 0.25 shares for Division D (Industrial for example) The specifics would be based on the expected market cap of  each ...more

Is that ok with you and good for this country? It seems by your posts that you certainly support communism so I guess it is acceptable to you.

You might be right, I just hope it works out that it doesnt affect margin.. If you have people needing to dump shares because one division is marginable and others are not - - or for example you end up with a $2 stock in industrial (probably not marginable as its a $2 stock) then it will cause some chaos.. So hopefully we end up with all divisions over $10/share and how it all shakes out I am not ...more
