REIT RALLY TILL AUGUST 10

Looking at last year July 16-Aug 10 was a nice rip....reits are breaking out to the upside, will be catapulted higher on positive earnings.  Then the fed will show up and find a way to spoil the party- thats how it goes!

Hi Snakeboy.  What are your thoughts on the commercial real estate space? How would this impact the reits you own if there is a crisis with owners walking away from their debt?  There is something like $1.5 trillion in debt that will come due over the next 3 years. It is also worth noting that commercial loans turnover more frequently than the residential space where homeowners ...more

For the reason you described, along with government debt rolling at higher rates, it then turns into banks and the feds problem-> solution-> lower rates and possibly MORE QE.  Turn on that printer! If real estate starts suffering (I mean private market, not REITS) to a certain threshold it wont be good for anyone
