Its hard to make the case

For the fed to dive US/Canada into a recession (at least a medium-large one at that), with headline inflation at around 3%, and rates above 5%. More public support with rates under 4% and inflation over 6%. Doesnt seem worth more pain to bring it down 1-1.5%.
