Morgan Stanley

Predicts that commercial real estate (Cre) will decline by 27.4% peak to trough in 18-24 months! As of May, peak to trough prices in Cre is down 12.1% with further declines ahead. Here is a breakdown of the commercial real estate property types: 


apartments: -13.8% in last 10 months 
office (suburban) : -8.8% in last 10 months 
retail : -8.1% in last 10 months 
office (cbd) : -7.3% in last 14 months 
industrial : -3.3% in last 9 months 

Morgan Stanley predicts that office in the central business district (cbd) will decline by 28% peak to trough in 24-30 months.

Yah that's why these fed bums will be paid to go away.  Billionaires not going to lose their wealth over this nonsense.  The elite are rich.  Printer will turn on again $$$$$

Do you have any original thoughts? MS believes we see a decline of 27%... how does that compare to the implied discount on the investment properties of H&R... if the expected decline is already integrated into the price, what does that say about H&R as an investment from a risk adjusted basis? Do you even know the implied discount of the assets held here based on current unit price ...more
