How big a deal is the announcement about the dry wells? In view of the big sell off, would you add to a position? 

The company has stated the results will have no impact on 2023 results, and the stock only checked back to its price of three weeks ago. Dry holes happen. With its new dividend policy, we think it would be OK to add some. (5iResearch)

As I see it in order for this to be called a dry well or a duster we had to be drilling a multi leg well with the objective of producing O&G from it.This was not the case.We were drilling a strat test which is a cheap vertical hole to make sure the underground gelogy matched the concept geology above ground .Clearly it didnt.They only planned to drill one but to be sure drilled two .Next.The ...more

Good point. These were discovery wells, not production wells. But all the more curious that a special press release was required for something that happens all the time wildcatting.
