One month later…

... nobody will talk about the PP anymore!

What is left is:

1) over 100 Mio cash
2) 3 high grade fields
3) world class CRD system
4) best jurisdiction in the world - Not LATAM, Africa, Russia or the expensive golden triangle (weather!)
5) hopefully a JV partner
6) big gold miners looking for higher production
7) fully permitted
8) autoclave worth 3x MC when running
9) CEO historically bought in the Open market at much higher prices
10) all fields are wide open for expansion in every direction!
11) Gold, Zinc much higher than some month before
12) Cooper ????? :-)

Unfortunately I've heard the same thing the last 5 equity raises.  When you burn through $125M of cash per year without having a comprehensive financing plan in place it becomes difficult.  Certainly the JV will help alleviate some of the liquidity risk. Still long but doubts creeping in about managment's capabilities especially after the latest equity raise.

My ttwo largest holdings are IAU and CXB. Unlike CXB which was approached by BMO, raised cash on a bought deal with no warrants, IAU had to give them warrents. So while the analysts still have high (hopes) predictions for IAU, no reason not to with Au prices and Cu expected to go higher it remains to be seen what near term events puts some fire in the share price? For now we are just about two ...more

Either great minds think alike or we are two of the biggest fools out there.  My two largest holding are also IAU and CXB. Have no inclination to sell either one any time soon.  I think the JV announcement will be made later than when most people expect.  Late May early June. Another equity raise just was completed by Equinox.  $260M no warrants and certainly not at all time ...more

Angel  Taylor Dart (seeking Alpha) has an opinion on CXB posted recently. We can only hope IAU has the quality of management that CXB has the management style to reduce our concerns?  So we'll bonk our heads look like fools or be the smartest risk takers. If you listened to David Lin and Ryan King on Youtube it's more luck and Gut Feeling and so far I'm feeling fine with ...more

I think we kinda follow each other around Ridge... I bought into I-80 last week, I also have CXB VIA MOZ lol, also have LUX as a junior gold, I have AEM as my major but I think I might be optioning out of the move the next 2 months (my calls have already sold for $96 May and $86 June)... also sniffing around at B2Gold...

Jay I have B2 on my watch list view it as having good upside. Added more CXB this week but I'm done for now.

Yea B2 is my replacement for selling off Agnico shares likely... Also B2 holds a fairly significant position in Calibre, so if B2 got excited they could consume or eat pieces of Calibre easier than other outside players... B2 has the nice dividend it does have to feed so an in production steady mine keeps that dividend rolling. I don't know how interesting I-80 would be to a major until ...more

Regarding IAU. The scarcity of projects as rich as I80 and trading undervalued still make I80 a good takeover, M&A. There are only a couple of weeks before I80 announce a JV IF it happens? If there is no JV the merger scenario remains a possibilty. Like many others albeit I80 has a rich deposit checking off all the boxes makes them attractive at a discount we see today. As you said and I agree ...more
