Unlike previous years

This market paying only half the attention to companies with Gold in the ground, many juniors if not 90% of them languishing near their lows. Todays cash is pouring into near or actual producers, investors want results.

One thing that will happen is the spill over effect, as producers share prices climb profit from those trades is moved into the companies that look good for a takeover or some other catalyst that might bring them closer to or into production. Future news from IAU will be very interesting as production (whether JV or not) is what they'll be addressing.

Gold in the ground is WORTHLESS unless and until one knows what the cost to extract it is. duh  Do you have even the slightest clue what it will cost I80 to mine and sell a single ounce? Anyone who knows anything about this sector KNOWS that you are strictly gambling until you know what AISC will be and the project(s) are FULLY financed. There is an absolutely good reason why this stock is ...more

Understood, so was mine, a long pause from writing to posting. All good. ;)

No and neither does anyone else. That's what feasibility studies are for. You could posit, guess, throw darts but without an actual feasibility study done by a reputable engineering firm you do not know if it's even possible let alone profitable. So any money you place on this horse is pure gambling, hope, wishing and not based on any empirical evidence.  What you actually do know is ...more

"AND you should know that the BEST time to wager on a gold miner is AFTER a construction decision is made and financing is in place NOT during the massive dilution/ exploration phase" For once Meathead speaks with wisdom. I know this because the lord has come to me and told me some. Investing in this POS at this stage will only see you shares diluted and likely rolled back if a ...more

Hey now that the Lord has come on to thee with valuable investment advice, can get him to turn his attention to oh, say, a few million starving kids in Africa and maybe help them out next? Thanks! In all seriousness though, I will agree with one thing. Net asset Value seems to mean alot less nowadays to the SP of a company. the example I think of is Crew Energy (gas co. But makes the NAV ...more

The  autoclave is  only  one  piece  of the  infrastructure and  300Million  is  a lot less than the  average  billion it costs to bring in a  new  mine.
Comment by metalhead666 on Oct 26, 2024 12:24pm
Doesn't matter!  What matters is how much share dilution you're going to get in order to come up with $300 million just for the autoclave.  How much more debt/dilution will there be to get a single asset into production?  What will be the ulitimate share count?  1 billion?  If it is then you need to do the math on all those wonderful ounces a mile underground and ...more

so muttonhead  you are  saying  there  will be  a 50 cent  placement   600MM x .5 = $300 million and the  JV  partner is  going to  walk away.
Comment by JayBanks on Oct 26, 2024 2:31pm
His point is very rational if you look at subjectively.    At the moment the estimate to refurbish the Autoclave is $300 million, but the longer it sits dormant, the more time eats at it which may create more extensive expensive issues, also the cost of labour and materials to do that work will go up 3-5% per year for inflation… so $300 million today would is $320 million 2 years ...more

The bottom line to all of this may be that because I-80 is in a tier one location and has proven and growing reserves they would and are a good M&A target for some entity to put into production in stages over time. At this point with no JV agreement just yet  and with the new boss taking the helm any scenarios now are a guess?  I would favour M&A at this point so for now it is ...more
Comment by metalhead666 on Oct 26, 2024 6:29pm
That is not what I said.  I said that you cannot place a value on this company with so many of the variables MISSING.   IF there still is a prospective JV partner then THEY are in the drivers seat and I80 will have to take whatever they can get. I80 needs the JV partner more than any partner needs I80  You all seem to think that a JV partner is a game changer...well it might ...more

Gold in the ground is worthles until there is mine sitting on top of it. I know these thing as the Lord has spoken to me.
Comment by smallcinvestor on Oct 25, 2024 4:16pm
So what you are saying  is  that  all the  existing  infrastucture in  place  is  worth  nothing?
Comment by metalhead666 on Oct 26, 2024 4:08am
The Autoclave needs at least $300 million in upgrades. Right now it sits there rusting and rotting so you tell me what it's worth. What's the Paycore property worth that they spent your money on which also sits there useless.  For just this piece of the puzzle you'll be diluted by several hundred million more shares. I80 looks like some Australian miner with billions of shares or ...more
