Stupid Cheap

Is this stock not ridiculously cheap?  Low share count, decent amount of cash on the books, just announced an NCIB for 10% of the shares. James Hodgins isn't my favorite analyst but he thinks it should be trading 2-3x where it is now based on the numbers.  I looked at them and I tend to agree. Does this company have a terrible management team or is the market just overlooking this one?

I actually don't even own any yet, but i'm watching closely. One of my contacts recently met with management and said he can't seem to find anything wrong with the company other than the Amaya connection. If the gaming sector turns around this could have a nice run one day

My calculations show that at $1.48 the EV/EBITDA at present is around 4.6, quite cheap. But when the stock was at ipo at $4.00 EV/EBITDA was 16, very high. At the ipo, only 3,750,000 shares were sold to the public, the rest 16,700,000 was held by the Diamond Game shareholders (including Amaya). So, looks to me the selling in the past year was mostly from Diamond Game shareholders. Hopefully the ...more

If it gets to 1.41 sell and never look back. That is if you are not one of the Diamond game employees that posts here. At the time of the ipo I was told Canacord and Cantor held most of the shares not held by Amaya. Most Diamond employees knew the company well enough that they did not buy. Did you read the transcript of the earnings call? It is on yahoo finance. It's hilarious. They discuss ...more

I been watching this stock since it listed. Its been on slippery slope since. They do just have one product. 1 year chart, ytd chart, 1 month chart, 1 week chart they are all going downhill. So what you want about Sandrail he's been on the money on this stock its the only one he post on. To me this stock is worth what they have in cash until that runs out than its worthless.

Great article. I have been eyeing this since the fall. The problem is stupid cheap and get even more stupidly cheap for lack of a better term. I am just a little cautious as no insiders or management have not put the NCIB to work in the 1.20 - 1.50 range. Why not? It's hard to see a turn in sentiment if they don't open multiple states in a short period of time if numbers continue to be ...more

I always thought due diligence meant learning the good and the bad about a company. To me the bad is always more important than the good. If all you want to hear is the good in order to reinforce a bad decision you made,(the most common psychological investor mistake) just ask the businesses management as its always in the in their best interest to paint a rosy picture. So here is the truth. This ...more
