A tale of two crudes

The United States produces mostly lighter crudes yet they preferentially refine heavier crudes. The situation in Canada tends to be otherwise. No one is going to invest a huge amount of money to modify their refining capabilities in todays environment. Ergo , it is free trade which comes to the rescue .
And that free trade is the only viable fix. Otherwise , politicians will once again lead the world into wasting valuable resources on fixing a problem that they will have themselves created.
Meanwhile , the world will increasingly need Canada's crude and Ipco has much more of it at a cheaper cost than anyone else !!
