First of all the article says the technology has the potential to unlock copper from chalcopyrite.  Nobody knows anything about the process, and what is used to unlock this trapped copper.  It may not be environmentally friendly, but who knows at this point.  I posted about the company in an earlier post.  Keep your eyes on their progress.
