Printing money causes inflation. Inflation will cause the rates to go up. Higher rates will lead to a recession and maybe a depression if the rates go too high. In a recession or depression no one will have money to buy your "hard assets" so their price will also come down.  Like most of your prattle you are projecting from one or two historical cases where the central bank was ...more

You can't have the price of copper crashing in a recession - like you (cobalt) once claimed that it would and at the same time say that hard assets will do well.

Again with your reading comprehension , i never said that. Right now hard assets are doing well never said they would hold up in a recession, Just to school you when margin calls come in they sell everything to pay it off in 2008 gold dropped 30% first then took off. Is this your first years in the market?

Well here's something for you to chew on. Inflationary periods are always followed by a recession so I don't know what you are blabbering about. There was no inflation in  2008 so you can't compare this to 2008. You didn't say "right now hard assets will do well" - you said in inflationary times they do well. Usually until there is a change in demand requirements.  So the big mining companies didn't invest in development because raw materials prices were not conducive. Perhaps that tells us the base metals prices were out of whack or controlled?  It takes more than a decade to develop brownfields.  Inventories are at lows.  Probably safe to say that between covid and now ...more
