Five days of rain in the forecast in Grande Prairie starting Saturday. From what I understand, oil prices have increased because of the shut ins. 5000 boe mainly of gas shut in for a couple weeks won't effect us much on a yearly outlook.   Just hope no infrastructure is destroyed or that drilling and completions aren't delayed too badly.   IMHO.

Unclear.  The fires may impact production and cashflow but will presumably also impact/reduce capex activities.  Lower commodity prices in Q2 than Q1 for sure, my completely amateur and completely wild guess is $12M less cashflow everything else being equal. Free cashflow is another unknown depends on capex.  By the way, Kelt has approximately 27M MMBTU worth of HenryHub basis ...more

Well Kelt had a 20 million dollar gain last quarter on Risk Management, and not having hedges does not mean you have a loss, you simply will get premium. So not a big deal. In fact i heard David Wilson say that all their liquids play are highly profitable at 55 dollar WTI.  I feel the press release also suggested this was gassy production, and last year they shut in gas because of pipeline ...more

I just checked the updated weather forecast for Grande Prairie area using various sources. As posted in the comment above, rain is expected this weekend and early next week. On the top of it the temps will cool down from about 30C closer to 20C and it will stay cooler for the next two weeks or at least next 10 days. Nat gas prices went up more than 10% today, could be reported injection of 99 ...more
