Equals no more

I always considered CREW and KELT to be somewhat equals in the O&G sector. KELT has been pulling away leaving CREW to eat their dust and the spread seems to widen each week lately.

Are their any reasons for this?

Crew is only in BC and their plays are primarily natural gas which is a mess right now (EQT biggest operator in the US said in their Q3 last week that 1) in their estimation, Haynesville shale - EQT operates in the Appalachian - is losing money at current prices and that 2) they foresee increasing price volatility in the future ie annual feast and famine). Kelt is also in BC albeit less developed ...more

I also think the overhang of the impending 4 year plan is holding back CREW. I hope Dale is a bit more forthcoming regarding the FID in the 3rd qrt results on Nov 8th.
