why the big slide?

out of all the stocks i track,this is getting hammered hardest last few days. following news release The Mgmnt Premium has left the stock...deservedly so until the rubber hits the tarmack...guess i'm a longer term holder ...again

I think the market understands that delaying the natgas wells is not the issue - drilling them in the first place is - thus the beatdown.  Basically every dollar spent on oil rich fields - whether its drilling,infra, plant, more land, more locations - is better ROI than investing in natural gas fields not only because oil is more profitable but also because associated gas is generally lower ...more

Pablo you and i are on the same page re dry gas/ hedging oil. A sound strategy, that's been a winning strategy for years, doing otherwise makes one question their oil/liquids potential /infrastructure issues and well Kelt hasn't proven to be overly astute at marketing. Buying large swaths of land in gassy prone BC exploration plays isn't stellar strategy but may help smaller offsetting ...more

There's a guy on twitter - WTIrealist - gave a very interesting expose of Encana's prolific dry gas wells. Basically prices north of $4/MMBTU will attract a lot of additional production from the likes of Encana.    If on top of that your costs are higher, your upside is going to be really limited. Plus Kelt doesn't hedge so its feast or famine too esp here in Canada ...more
