Production Gains Biased to Liquids

The production gains from the Charlie Lake wells will likely be in the range 60% - 70%.

The Wembley/Pipestone wells about 59% to 62%.

Q4 is going to be a big improvement in production, and a big improvement Liquids ratio.

This is an opportunity to get in at the startup of significant liquids production.

Many wells are coming on in Q4 and a big transformation in economics will take place at Kelt in Q4.

WTI is $69, Kelt has no hedges (I suggested 25% when oil was $83).  Are you being responsible promoting Kelt without mentioning that management like to trapeze without a net?

Well one of my investment buddies gets the  Cornerstone Analytics report. Demand is strong, inventories are low, and we are dealing with speculation that USA/China have weak economies.  I am of the opinion that oil is mispriced here, and am a bull.  I think on Sept 18, when the USA Fed meets you will see a rate cut. I think kelt is a strong buy especially at these prices ...more

I get that.  but if it can go to $69 for no apparent reason, it can to $59 as well.  No issue with what you said over the long term but over the long term, we're all dead (Keynes). The better argument btw is that at $55 WTI, nobody in US shale is going to be making any money. Theres a twitter account that did a very detailed analysis of FANG (Diamondback Energy) that basically said ...more

I feel that Kelt is at an inflection point, they have been planning for and working towards for years. Between now and the end of 2024, production will have increased 50% at least, kelt claims they may exit at 50,000 boe/day in 2024. I think Kelt has premier asset plays, with low debt, and highly efficient use of Capital. Kelt will be a better company than they are today in 3 months.  So ...more

I don't understand your motivation to keep beating this dead straw horse of stock buybacks. No one is expecting them to buy any shares back. They're negative cash flow and won't have FCF for a while (I'd guess Q4 2025 or Q1 2026). I made a wild guess recently for FFO next year of ~$C500M. Expect capex will be around that for 2025 If & when KEL gets to a point of FCF, buybacks ...more

It's what he deserves, Morgan, but something tells me it won't happen. He'll simply move on to his next obsession and terrorize that SH board with his barrage of long-winded theories and obfuscation.
Comment by Trapped on Sep 07, 2024 9:39am
I mean, he's literally delusional. You may not know this, but he actually believed he could single-handedly block ARX's takeover of VII a couple of years ago. He failed miserably, so now he just trolls the company's management team, criticizing every decision they make. And we're talking about one of the most respected operators in the WCSB.

Time to move on already... Says the person who would like the world to forget that they've gotten every call in the last four years dead wrong - How convenient LOL.
