My wife & I are long term holders and have never planned on selling as we are retired dividend income/growth investors. At the start of the year, a total return investor asked me if it was a good time to buy KEY as a long term hold. I said that for total return, it was actually better to just short term trade it as it had a fairly consistet pattern of grinding up to $32-33 and then falling ...more

Oh darn, I guess I was wrong about KEY breaking out of the price range it's been stuck in for a few years. Looks like back into that $26-29 range with a $28.50 or lower price tomorrow with this latest sizeable $200M bought deal. Hopefully once KAPS is onstream, they can break out . Also not sure what this means to waht I figured might be a divy increase in mid-2023. These dividend payers ...more

SargeX You are right about KEY. It is a very good investment to have and the yield is among the highest on the TSE The only difference with your way of investing  is the fact that I have been in and out almost 20 times in different accounts with a decent profit on each trade in 2022 and of course having sometimes 6,0% yield . Just sold at $ 31,30 on December 2 and bought back at $ 29,75 on ...more

Hey Bossu Good for you on KEY and the other midstream trades. It definitely is a great sector to short temr trade. I go through short term trading phases every no ana gain and did a lot betwen Mar 2020 and Apr 2022 using some of our extra cash. I started with about $50k per trade and eventually grew it to $100k.
