My scotia stock quote shows LFE currently at like a 25% div monthly  Its a bit obscure to understand based on the news releases so can somone explain does this stock pay this much every month or varys ? how reliable are the monthly dist etc  I assume must be pretty high risk ?
Comment by NoShoesNoShirt on Jul 15, 2024 9:45am
Super high risk. Nav must be 15 on calculation day, and that's usually the 15th or thereabouts.
Comment by Higherhopes2020 on Jul 15, 2024 10:25am
Might have added 9 cents today if it holds the gain it made. Hence dividend may be declared in 3 days.

Yup. This one is likely suyper close. Perhaps Mouseman can give us an update to see how close we currently are. As with all Quadravest split corps, they have the option of waiting to use a NAV no later than five business days prior to the record date. The record date is usually last business day of the month.

I have only seen Quadravest use that loophole for DFN..... but who knows ,maybe they are turning into lifeco fans...
Comment by NoShoesNoShirt on Jul 15, 2024 11:34pm
Quadravest did it for FFN January 2018 or 2019.
Comment by Higherhopes2020 on Jul 16, 2024 10:02am
Yes if they used todays nav dividend will be declared.

Right now its very close but i have the UNIT ANV at $15.04 in realtime... a day late i am thinking.
Comment by Higherhopes2020 on Jul 16, 2024 10:27am
Thanks.  I have over 20K. Dividend will be great.
Comment by azzurri on Jul 16, 2024 10:20am
Agreed. Provided the green early on holds until close. Then it will be up to Quadravest to decide to pay out the Class A's using a post mid month NAV or keep the payout to support the NAV. Either way, Class A capital gains seem feasible. Canadian Lifecos report earnings in early August ahead of that month's mid month NAV.

Mouserman did we add 9 cents in realtime.  Please post. thanks.
