LIQ Wish List

Some of the things I would like to see LIQ do in 20016. 1) Increase the Revolving Credit Line from $150M to $200M at favorable rates. 2) Buy back 10% of there shares. 3) Buy out the remaining 49% of the New Jersey Stores. 4) Open 8 new large format stores in the USA besides the ones they have and have planned. With 2 more in Connecticut, 2 more in Massachusetts, 2 more in Kentucky, and 2 more in Virgin Territory, like Pennsylvania. 5) Restrict opening new stores in Alberta and BC except under very favorable terms. Close unproductive smaller format stores. Continue to work on increased Sales and Gross Profit Margin. 6) Issue new Debentures up to $175M at or better than 5.85% and the last Debenture Interest Payment. Pay off all Revolving Credit Line Debt and for recent and future store openings, plus share buy backs. 7) Continue to pay Dividend at $1.08 per share.

There is one more thing I would like to see this company do which I think is important enough to mention now. I would like to see Upper Management owning more shares in this company. The Home is where the Heart is. I think that a good way to introduce this is by making Stock Options as part of there yearly salary and instead of all cash. If this stock does well, then they are handsomely rewarded ...more

The small investor can't roll a big enough snowball down the hill to worry "The Boys". Stock must not bet cheap enough for an Activist to make a move (speculation on my ...more

It is easy to blame management when share prices head south. That is common and almost expected. But to be honest I haven't seen anything they have done to warrant this low share price right now. Even Q3 Report was not that bad. Another thing you can say about this company is since it's IPO in 2004, they have been giving back to the shareholders most of the company profits in the form of ...more

dyod i look at the forest, not just a tree. I keep rose- coloured  glass far away from me ( if someone thinks about or looks at something with rose-coloured glasses, they think it is more pleasant than it really is ). a price move, as wirnessed in Nov/2015, was your cofirmation, big money, doesn"t think Mgmt can manouver in the Negitive AB sentiment (imho). Q4 will be intresting but ...more

Personally I don't think any person should look at any stock with rose colored glasses on. They should do what I try to do which is to study the Financial Reports and try to understand the Company and Management. The stock price drop in LIQ has nothing to do with Management. It is the result of the low Oil Prices and the doom and gloom outlook that faces Alberta right now. As I said many times ...more

Yeah! I think there is a lot of us with that sour grape taste in our mouth right now. I don't blame you for being upset. But I am not quite ready to join the Lynch Party just yet. Actually this stock wasn't in much trouble until early November and when Q3 came out. Even then it wasn't that bad. So maybe some big Hedge Fund Shorting this stock like crazy and knocking the Widows and ...more
