wierd first 10 minutes of trading!

Pre open both the bid and ask were at $4.04 despite close at $4.94 yesterday. Then over the next ten minutes BOTH the bid and ask moved in tandem with zero spread over the next ten minutes very slowly (sometimes back and forth in tandem) with zero trades happening!! It was as though they were fishing for some poor sucker to panic and sell very low. Nothing happened but for the slow creep upward in the bid and ask in tandem until someone bit and a trafe happened at $4.35 and has crept up slowly on low volume to $4.67. Truly highly manipulated stocl!

Actually it was 940 to be precise. It was Instinet Canada Limited which is an algorithmic trading service.  I guess the program waited till it seen a good chunk of shares to sell. They sold to more than one brokerage so it wasn’t a block trade but it was a large number of shares like around 21K. So far it’s the day low. They say these programs are pretty good like 80%. I’m not sure in this
