Black Market Russian oil priced higher than WCS
I find it hard to accept that our WCS heavy oil discount differential to WTI is greater than the discount applied to sanctioned Russian oil, fetching Dubai prices on the world markets.
This even though our heavy oil is more sought after as it gets more bang for your buck when cracking for diesel.
Can't wait to get our product to world markets through the TMX in 2023.

i would blame the release of SPR crude which is more sour than WTI and likely competing refinery space with WCS. I expect the WCS discount to narrow after october when spr release is done.
