He also mentioned earlier in the call that due to it's missed-pricing, tax losses, and extensive holdings it is a prime take-over target.

  Eric doesn't own this at the moment as he is not paying any dividend and possibly targeting a take over. But, what for us, we love take over and I entered a position today. Planning to hold on throughout 2023 and see how it plays out.

Why to you say he doesn't own it? It was a top 10 in both his funds as of Oct 31st. I can't see him having it as a top 3 today if he didn't own it today. Doesn't mean he might not sell it tomorrow.

You are talking about a promoter that has got everything wrong this year by massive margins, and you're excited about his " top picks" .  His WTI target this year was 150 then 125 then 100 and is 100 for 2022 year-end  ( we are at 74).  Is WCS spreads are so off they are comical.  His 12-month MEG target 12 months ago was 40....its 19. and you are still

I blieve Eric pays for his research - so these predictions were common and not his alone. That being said, the situation in China has caught a lot of people, including energy investors off guard.

Whether he pays for his research or not ( yes you are correct he does because he's not an analyst), the accuracy of his recommendations and price targets for the last 12 months have been really bad, so not sure why people take comfort in them or put very much credit into them.    that's all.

I dont put much credit either because he his a pumper and dumper ( trader ) not an investor.

  All analysts are the same though. When the stars align with their recommended stocks, we see them more  often on BNN or YouTube. Otherwise, they go hibernate. This time, it is not bad for Eric. But it is not his credit, all oil companies gone above 2 times or more from the 2020 low. So, it just happened that even a cr@p stock he picked just went multiple times up. But we can analyse
