Conference Call

Anyone listen to yesterday's conference call?  It's still available in playback form.  The call lasted over an hour and had an interesting discussion.

I posted this over on SI but I missed the most important part.  As they are back to work they expect to reach commercial production by the 4th quarter. There was a thorough discussion of these NGOs in Mexico. Over the last few years a business has developed which sets up blockades and threaten workers before a mine goes into production. It was mentioned that Goldcorp's Los Filos mine pays ...more

Minefinders is not at any risk of running out of money. They have plenty and they went over the numbers on the conference call. They discussed raising more money with Scotia but the reason for this is that they are going to make an acquisition and start building a mill shortly after Dolores is operational. They are going to raise money for the acquisition by increasing their credit line with Scotia ...more

Thanks for the excellent summary!  I guess I wasn't paying attention when they talked about the acquisitions.:o)

I don't remember them talking about acquisitions in this past conference call, but they definitely talked about their financial situation and their relationship with Scotia. The talk about an acquisition and the desire to buy a mill was discussed in prior public interviews with Mark Bailey, and I confirmed their intention in a recent call to IR.
