An actual article about Mandalay . . .

Well, here's a first -- an actual article about Mandalay, not in the useless paid press, but by an actual analyst.   Sure, it's the Motley Fool, but it's still something:

I'm still dumbfounded by the extent to which Mandalay is simply ignored -- this extends to the goldbug analysts who are always publishing their various little graphs on mining twitter; these constantly have graphs of all the small gold miners that don't include Mandalay.  No idea why not, it's as valid a company as Wesdome, who everyone includes.

It's hard to recommend a stock that has a very lean float (illiquid). The investor package shows the instiutions owning 100% of the O/S. Retailers would pay a premium for the shares out of the public market.

I kind of agree -- I've sometimes wondered how the institutions plan on making their money with Mandalay . . .  none of the big holders can really sell out, since that would crater the price; are they counting on some kind of takeover?  This is why the company really needs to institute the dividend again, give retail traders a reason to fight for the shares.

The didvidend still benefits the insitutions given their 100% ownership of the O/S. I to wonder about the hold and exit strategies of the instiutional investors. I suspect the smaller institutions will sell all or portions of their psoitions to larger instiutions should MND increase the size of the company through acquisition. Some of the MND insiders are members of CE Mining institution which ...more
