Crazy illiquid

Was buying this more this morning. Picked up another 2500 units using lot sizes of 100. Had to bid it up +8% at one point to get units. Hope no Stockhouse bros unloaded on me. Illiquidity keeps people away but also tells me nobody wants to sell. It will be hard to get stock at low prics when there is a meaningful catalyst and the unitprice surges. Loved the recent Chairman buy of $50k worth. Cooper has added millions from 2022-2023. Has to be worth something. Will be watching that City of Toronto meeting on Nov 13 to make sure Impact gets those critically needed approvals (tax deferreral and development fee waiver.) Good luck to us all!

looks like you and I are the only ones buying this morning!      Cooper  was just on BNN , didn't  shift the conversation over to residential, opportunity missed.

Just put an order in for like $4.15, and it will fill over time. No need to bid it up, until a Catalyst hits. I find MPCT will run hard when reits move up in a pack together, which is not today as Bond Markets are closed. This is a 12+ month hold, not a trading stock. I'm guessing we have some capturing capital gain losses before year end, and the big gains will be in 2025 as 49 Ontario is ...more

Can anybody post the latest Q3 report for TD Bank? Saw they upgraded the stock. Just wondering what their outlook is. They've been covering it for some years.

The low volume is why I believe the stock won't move meaningfully until dividends are restored. Majority of institutional investors won't touch micro caps stocks with non existent volume. You're not able to buy even a few thousand  shares without changing the share price yourself let alone a million. It's a good indicator that the share price isn't efficiently capturing ...more

don't really see  institutions of any size getting involved    market cap less than 80MM   any multi million dollar investment  would take a very large percentage of the fund    would have to bid it up likley and  more importantly gettingout if they wanted to  would likewise be difficult

Don't need institutions. I don't see good institutinal ownership in the larger names either. If Impact signals bringing back the distribution next year the unit price will rip. NOI recurring is going to spike plus the two major sales will remove Impact's debt. City of Toronto and Feds giving Dream a sweetheart deal not available to most developers. It's cherrypicking ...more

They arnt cherry picking winners, they are giving funding to companies that are willing to build affordable.

Your buying a development company at this pointy, not a REIT.
