MRT.UN still has alot of vacant office space.

By the time the Office spaces are filled up the trading price will be much higher.  They may also restore distribution, even in part and that could be a catalyst.  They have decent amount of Mortgage renewals being completed at lower rates.....so lots of good stuff in progress. I rushed in, as I usually do, well over $7 but got some earlier in the low 6s.  So still, Gradually ...more

Yes, but MRT. UN definitely offers better value than ARR trading at 2x book value with 1/2 of the books value in cash (AKA, trading at 3x of the purchase price of  the current royaltiy investments). I think this is the very definition of overpaying.  You are welcome to MRT board.

They really have to work on upping the distribution at least to 4 cents to start. So many other better run reits that didn't reduce their distribution. The 2 cents doesn't cut it. If it continues for the forseeable future at that level you will know they have low confidence in the return of business as before.  The earnings release on July 28th should tell investors all they need to ...more

I agree entirely. It's way too low especially when many who owned this owned it for the income. Even 3 cents would be a good start.
