Possible but not at these prices. Considering Chernoff and Wilson hold HUGE controlling chunks of stock. I think there is a deal upcoming that they are just waiting to go public. Just my speculation.

How many stocks do they own ? I looked on SEDI and it is not clear. They have direct and indirect ownership. Sometimes, it's the same stocks. And it is even more complicated in the case of Wilson. For Chernoff, my best estimate is that he owns 15.4 M stocks, out fo 49.8 M stocks for the whole company. For Wilson, I really don't know...

I think total inside ownership I read was 63%. Power generation cannot come from Solar, Hydrogen or geothermal alone.  Lets wait until Torc Oil and gas and Whitecap finish their combination and that will give more time for Chernoff to focus on Maxim.

I am a long term investor. I don't care waiting for a while if the business is good ! And it seems that Maxim has a few good cards to play to improve the business.
