Newbie kind of question

Is there a handy website that tracks the Alberta wholesale power price? Or whatever the price is that Maxim collects when it's producing.

Also, is there any imminent danger that some player in this space is about to bring online some gargantuan zillion megawatt project that'll send power prices through the floor?

What am I missing here?

The first website provides a bunch of market data including historical pool pricing. Home » AESO This second webiste is the only other power project coming online.  It is a 900 MW power plant in Yellowhead County.  I don't think it will send prices through the floor but it could impact things. Thanks, Mr. B. That helps. Along the lines of one-good-turn-deserves-another, given your posting history on Reits and such, you might possibly want to check out BBU.un (Brookfield Business Partners). I bought my first position ever in this co. this A.M. Scotia has been positive on the group (Brookfild) forever, I was holding back because I was really unsure about their big holding in Westinghouse ...more
