NXR Being Punished ?

Historically investors have tended to punish income trusts that fill their coffers by going too often to the (discounted ) subscription market. NXR has lost almost a dollar in share price as they have pushed another new subscription following their recent and previous subscription in August. They would have been better served by issuing debentures or some other form of commercial paper. The real question becomes "Are they really serving their Unitholders or just simply using them" ?

Indeed. I was stunned when they issued another equity blast while the ink hardly dried on the last one. Seems like we're the good and faithful bag holders on this one. It's going to be a while before we see 13$ again..When/ if it does, are y'all ready for them to barf out more equity?

It is unfortunate that individuals are down and you are right there are no guarantees. It is understandable that not everyone is going to be happy over this. Executives even of poorly run and under performing companies get paid. There is volatility in the market and there are companies that decline over time more than 10% on no news whatsoever.  I agree with the positives of your methods of ...more

Good points Defiance, there seems to be a diverse opinion on the subject. Yes if you are 40 and have years and are prepared to wait with no guarantee , well that's one side , if you are 20 or 30 years older and would like a modicom of stability an 8% drop in your portfolio especially if you bought any in the $13s because analysts , crystal ball prognosticators said $1450 and someone said by ...more

Thanks Bubba, age definately changes time horizons.  On Nexus press releases it mentions and previously included retail and office properties. I suspect the below is where Nexus being called a growth REIT come from. Momentum is maybe associated with industrial real estate. "About Nexus Real Estate Investment Trust  Nexus is a growth-oriented real estate investment trust focused ...more
