Looks like a combination of a short squeeze and NY figuring out that Covid is over (thanks to Omicron) The end of covid means market euphoria  It also means the energy crisis becomes clear  it may even mean that investors  clue in that the earth is not presently warming - imagine what that would do for energy prices.    Then stop imagining because it's happening

As for the energy crisis - it's been pushed off the front page by omicron alarmism The lastest big news is Indonesia banning coal exports so it has enough for itself     They are big exporter.    Just another example of what happens when there is not enough to go around  Obviously we have a fear that the US may do the same with oil thereby land locking Canada -
