OER Deal Financing
Three things to remember here.
1. This is a large deal with established production PLUS at least 15 discovered but undeveloped marginal (ie under 20 million bbl) fields that were not worthwhile for a major to work on.
2. Listen carefully and ask questions about the two offshore blocks, not only huge potential but also several discoveries including one which straddles a concession with Shell, is unitised and should be brought on.
3. It is always easier to finance big deals than small deals. Every major broker in NA and Europe will want to do this one, it will become one of the largest intermediate internationals overnight.
P.S. OER is an indigenous company, it does not need a local partner which needs to be carried!
