Please convince me to hold
I have held this for a few years. I am considering halving my position for at least the medium term. Future eps looks good but I have concerns with their debt, impairment of the IRS, and it feels to me like this is prepared to roll over down to at least the low 40s.
This company has been an underperformer in my portfolio and has underperformed its sector in general. I am a fan of recurring revenue and meaningful sustainable growth which Open Text ticks those boxes.
I do consider long term investments as a priority but am not immune to moving money around from time to time of course. Without going deeply into my investment thesis, I am having a tough time assessing value on this for the medium term. I would expect more guidance from management going forward considering the shift to more "work from home" and the infrastructure (and its management) requirements.
The charts, momentum, future eps, and potential secular trends do not seem to be aligning when I examine this. I do not feel this stock price has reacted well considering the potential trends going forward and it certainly does not pay a dividend large enough to wait.
Please talk me out of this move.
Thanks in advance for your response.

I am conflicted (and possibly impatient). With a pullback in share price this would tick a lot of boxes for a value.

I sold half and it starts a bump up of course. The reason I bought this in the first place was because of their record. The reason I only let half go was because of this as well. I have reits that have given me more value in the past few years. Call me conflicted. I expected more. Not a hater, just becoming impatient.
