Music

An encouraging prediction, this morning Robert Kwan analyst with RBC Capital and a rating of 187 has a buy  for PPL and a target of $58. Sounds like music to my ears.

The name of the music that I referred to in my last post was "Money, Money."  Those buying today at $41 and selling if/ when it reaches $58 would make a profit of $17 or 41.4%. Not a bad risk in my opinion. Have a great day all of you PPL investors and may you prosper!

58 Do not trust or believe in targets pipes have been on a down trend for years you Might see a bump if rates retreat to 2% or less making the yield attractive  but.  Growth is not inherent in a pipe

$50 plus Target prices for Pembina were being predicted 6 months ago and more. And here we are today, 6 months later, below $42. I lost faith in analysts price targets a long time ago. They're nothing but guesstimates or there's vested interest involved. Take them with 10 grains of salt.  All you have to do is just watch BNN market call. Almost every of one of their guests picks are ...more

stockmarket1, I can't disagree with you on the $50 price target 6 months ago or the accuracy of most analysts. But........at $41 PPL offers a pretty good deal on the risk side. There are other stocks out there that I wouldn't take that kind of a risk on but PPL at this price is very tempting, that's really what I was trying to get at. Have a great day and thanks for the comment ...more

No worries. It's all about discussion and sharing info. Do you think PPL will go below $40? The current yield seems to be indicating a solid base line. I'm tempted to buy more but still unsure.  I'm comfortable with my current % holding in my portfolio but I'm willing to buy more should it decline from current levels. I must admit. I did enjoy PPL more when it was monthly ...more

I don't think that it will drop below $40 but I have been wrong on many other occasions. To me, the fact that  the US inflation is cooling down and continued rate hikes in the US and Canada appear to be near an end makes me hopeful that both economics are reasonably solid. The price of crude is currently around $80 which is very supportive of the energy sector. That is also a positive for ...more

Well said and my cost is well below the current price too. Definitely will back up the truck should it dive well below $40. Who wouldn't? Cheers
