What Goes 'Round, Comes 'Round...

Interesting how sometimes things that go 'round come 'round.

Back in 2007-2008, I was heavily invested in 2 start-ups of Greg Noval fame.  For those not familiar, Noval was the founder of the higly-successful Canadian 88 Energy Corp, and both Canadian Superior Energy, along with its sidekick, Challenger Energy, would later become his next big project.

After a huge run-up in the stock price, both companies ran into financial trouble, and had to restructure.  Canadian Superior took over Challenger, then changed its name to Sonde Resources.  Eventually, Marquee Energy took out Sonde, and when Marquee got into financial trouble, Prairie Provident Resources stepped in and took over Marquee, from which came the Michichi assets, which include the Basal Quartz formation.

Ironically, it was PPR which saved my initial investments in Noval's start-ups by taking over Marquee, and now it might be those same assets acquired by PPR from Marquee which might end up saving PPR.

Speaking of memories:  I did not realize - or perhaps forgot - that Greg Noval passed away in 2019.  A bit of a controversial guy, but incredibly successful with his early endeavour with Canadian 88, starting with a $200,000 investment and eventually selling for over a billion dollars! heartlandfuneralservices.com/memorials/gregory-noval/3861069/obit.php?&printable=true
