LKAB's English announcement is outProvides a little more clarity.
https://www.lkab.com/en/about-lkab/lkab-in-brief/strategy-and-goals/ During the steel-making process, they will move away from putting iron pellets into the blast furnace directly, and instead switch to putting what's called "sponge iron" into the oven.
That doesn't mean they will stop needing iron ore pelletization. It just means the pellets won't be used directly to make steel, but will go through an intermediary step first. Pelletization is upstream from this process. Proof of that here:

So instead of those iron pellets being put into the steel making blast furnace, it will first go through a carbon reduction process using hydrogen to make sponge iron, which will then go into the blast furnace. Makes the final steel making process cleaner than if just iron pellets were put in directly.
With a major company like this pushing carbon reduction, it shows the overall industry shift to carbon reduction technologies.
"Carbon dioxide-free sponge iron with hydrogen technology. Through the shift from iron ore pellets to carbon dioxide-free sponge iron we will take an important step forward in the value chain, increase the value of our products while giving our customers direct access to carbon dioxide-free iron for steel production."
