Pyr CEO response to question regarding client B 4 torches

Dear Politicat,

I wouldn’t read so much into their thinking rather than ours…I have been quite clear on what I thought would be the best road forward for the Company, and what I think would be the fastest way forward to the most profitability for all…again; slow is smooth, smooth is fast…it has worked for us time and time again. We are in it for the long run. We are methodical, and lay a solid foundation…or at least we try to. We seem to finally be getting traction with likeminded investors.

With respect to Client A vs Client B and why we release a number for one and not the other?  Someone had to be first, no?

;-)

Hope that Helps

Peter

That seems to be in line with EPS forecast of $0.06 Q3  and $0.02 Q4  for a total $0.11 for the year. Client B would be first to be quoted on 4 torches maybe to deliver in 2021, then hopefully there will be a quote for A shortly after. This EPS forecast was announced a few months back and Peter must have know that no major revenue would hit the books iin 2020

Those are my feelings as well - and this aspect has fueled umpteen discussions / arguments / theoretical points between investors who determine their own 'fair price' by actual EPS estimates or the speculative nature that’s also in play with PYR / HPQ.  Doubtful even Peter and team can comprehend that scope (hence the word intoxicating that’s floated about).   Value versus growth ...more

I dont know their business well enough to be able to see where Q3 profitability will come from but for Q4 I think it was understood that there would be no meaning full revenues from the torches. To recognize revenues, torches would have to be delivered. If he signs something by early December in line with his timeline, I am not sure they would have the time to manufacture and ship by the end of ...more

There is a lot more to PyroGenesis than just torches for Clients A, B, C, etc. Q3 will see revenues coming from DROSRITE, US Navy (deposit), potentially the US Tunnelling torches, PUREVAP, 3D Printing. Take a look at all of PYR's business segments, that is the neat thing with PyroGenesis, multiple revenue streams. Like Peter says "a multi-legged stool".

A deposit is not accounted for as sales revenue. The cash positively affects the cashflow statement, goes into cash on the balance sheet and as a deferred revenue on the liability side. Don't worry, I will figure it out in a few days when Q3 is posted. Q2 profit was largely to a recognition of a gain on investments, not through sales from different business lines.

BTW, 6 cent eps is $9 million profit Their last reported sales backlog was $40 million to be filled over a few quarters. So, I would not be surprised nor disappointed if the eps is below 6 cents. Certainly can't see it coming from sales, and that is OK because this play is not yet about how they did a few months ago but what kind of deals will start to be inked initially to kick off a new ...more

You are the one who needs to consult a doctor there Breizh1. Time to get your meds/prescription topped up. Got a good chuckle with your HPQ post this morning, claiming you have friends that work for Lyon, lol, too funny there Breizh1. It's funny you claim to even have friends... your imaginery friends don't count...

Good catch therealmccoy! You have a little problem reading details. Leave at that. it is not working for Lyon. LOL!

good morning, It is a dissapointing answer to the questions but understandable.  Maybe he can't answer in specifics or chooses not to. Lets all agree - the quote for 4 torches - that is a low number.  I was surprised when i saw it in the press release.  So i am trying to justify it.  Why 4 ? If it is testing and that is the minimum they need to test a furnace that makes ...more

Like you I was disappointed with the answer. But my guess is still 50 torches for company A. I'm guessing the reason he mentioned 4 for company B was to temper expectations. People had been talking 500 torches and with the number 4 being mentioned, now 50 becomes a big number. If there was no mention of the small number, 50 would have been a disappointment for a lot of people. Jmo
