Pyr could very well be a hybrit partner

A recent announcement by Europe’s largest iron ore producer, LKAB, may seem like a technical detail only relevant for metallurgists and steel nerds. However, the company’s plan to invest up to 400 billion kronor (US$46 billion) over the next 15–20 years to expand into an emissions-free iron process being piloted in Northern Sweden is big news for Sweden, the global steel industry, and future generations around the world.

LKAB, along with Vattenfall and SSAB, are behind the HYBRIT project which intends to grow, fossil-free, Sweden’s steel industry. They will use hydrogen instead of coal as the “reducing agent” to remove the oxygen from the iron ore.

The cost of producing the hydrogen should come down with their commitment to making it at scale. Aiming for 10GW of electrolyser capacity, that’s a quarter of the total EU target for 2030. It’s very good news for any other hard-to-abate sector hoping to use hydrogen. They expect their steel production to be competitive without subsidies beyond the EU carbon price. Blank says the project can set an example for steel makers around the world and suggests clean steel could even experience the successful cost reductions of solar.

Tcheck... I gave you information about this from Peter answering questions about this consortium HYBRIT.  You are misrepresenting what the outcome of he and I’s Q&A was and I’m a bit mystified as to why you did this? I even asked him about using hydrogen as a feed stock and I found you actually read what I sent you.. You know he said NO.  Again, here is he answering my questions ...more

Nope.. you asked about it earlier.. I had already posted about it a few days ago on Agoracom before you posted this below. Something isn’t right about you in this and that’s will come to fruition soon enough. I smell a set up on misinformation. Pyrogenesis has NOTHING to do with anything you are disseminated. We now know you are from England as well so we’d will see what we see with you.  ...more

Two things, you are a lier..You lifted due diligence I posted days ago and secondly, based upon a Peter’s answers to my questions with what you are incorrectly espousing, is calling themPeter a lier. The due diligence thing I could care less about.. You calling Peter a lier I take issue with.

He is not a liar .never said that . he is not allowed to reveal his sources and identify his customers as much as he would like to . So it is difficult to assess the real situation because of this . he has cards up his sleeve . and lucky you ,you saw them . i learned that hybrit could take till 2040 to complete their conversion of all sites . so we still have a lot of years in front of us . relax ...more

I will just say whereby the  hydrogen arc furnace will take quite some time to come to fruition, let’s hope that where all the Viking nation’s are raising their carbon taxes exponentially (Norway tripling), the pelletization companies come running towards plasmaat break neck speed. Not Texas.. The region of America that sent England packing. Lol..  3 hours from Montreal am done look ...more
