Pay attention to Fig 2 (from the patent link above^^):

Note the patent which @helloween references below clearly shows a non-transferred Arc Plasma Torch (APT) from PyroGenesis (small typo in the patent) is used. 

It doesn't get much clearer than this:

@helloween From Earthgrid 2021 patent application for a tunnel boring system (WO2022154911A1) which is different from the patent owned by Arcbyt filed in 2018 (WO2020101666A1) : "[0042] Figure 2 is a side view of one embodiment of the tunnel boring system. The cutting head 210 is attached to the cutting assembly 220. The cutting head 210 includes torches and nozzles for a stream of air and/or water, to assist with the boring. The power, and air/water are fed to cutting assembly 220 via umbilicals 245. In one embodiment, a non-transferred Arc Plasma Torch (APT) from PYPROGENSIS™ is used."

Each machine requires 72 plasma torchs, total system.  Not sure why Pyro talking about ordering 5 torch.

@cargo I really hope that it is indeed EarthGrid. Very cool tidbit of info about Earthgrids technology. I would take Musk tunnel company as well. However this guy seems to have a drug problem and shows definitely an erratic behavior. I am not really sure that this will help PYR in the long run.

Also note that the number of robots necessary for all possible utility projects implies replacement torches, electrodes, etc. (recurring revenue for PyroGenesis).  This recurring revenue can become a significant source of income for PYR.  Moreover, utilities is just the start, there are other applications for tunneling.
