I was a member of the safety codes council in Alberta for 4 yrs ( pressure vessel/piping division ) There was a very concerning conversations about some of the quality of steels being traced back to China ,even low carbon steels were having flanges burst during hyro's.   The more we can do in developing better processes in our back yard ..The better off we all will be. That's nonsense. When you are a supplier to Mercedes in a special topic and you want to become a supplier to BMW you must fulfill BMWs requirements. BMW doesn't say  Oh it's ok for Mercedes then it's ok for us as well and shorten the requirements time.
