$5 could easily be reached, that is if QTRH is not sold by then. The patents WiLAN holds is priced in at zero dollars and the patents will bring in billion in rev. Management held the div down in Q3 by design as it makes QTRH much more desirable. With $180Mil in cash and a potential US$250Mil in a Apple win (All models included) thats $505Mil in cash. These are low ball figures that can very ...more

Closed at high of day and above 5 day and 10 day moving averages.   This is getting primed to breakout and move significantly higher.   Almost no down volume today as well.

$5 would be great to see by Christmas! QTRH does have a history of doing nothing for a while and then surges upwards out of nowhere.  I've said before to look at the price / volume action consistent with the 2008 run up.  It is following it very closely. In each of the runups there was a catalyst.  There has been steady accumulation at the 2.50-2.70 range, I presume of ...more

Correction: I meant 3X EBITDA.   That is minus the cash on hand, the value of the firm is only 3X EBITDA. I don't know about all of you, but I can't find other companies that trade at this depressed valuation.

While I agree that it's cheap there remains the issue that has weighed on the share price for years--the unevenness of results quarter to quarter. For the analysts it's hard to really pound the table on QTRH because the next few quarters may end up looking ugly. Likely not as ugly as 2020 Q2, which was really ugly, but ugly nonetheless. Don't get me wrong. I love the story, partly ...more

No analyst predicted the last major moves higher.   But when it did move higher they raised their targets after the fact.  Analysts are lagging indicators on this stock.   There is a rule in investing.  The only thing that pays is price.  Follow the technicals.  They are signalling a very bullish move setting up in the current penant formation and closing above ...more

Analysts exist for 1 reason. To make as much money as possible  - for themselves, and the stocks and funds they front for. They manipulate the herd mentality, and investors seem to put them on pedestals and consider them to be gurus. They talk up the stock, put a positive spin on it, raise the target price - and the herd buys in. All the while they have a finger on the sell button. It goes ...more

Yes sir.  Another of those Wall Street conflicts of interest that are accepted as normal.

Well history says it stays here and then drifts down after it gets a run up.  Just like all of us saying its rediculously undervalued and is about to run. Two tales as old as time in the Quarterhill/Wilan story..

Yes, lumpy over quarter to quarter, but at some point you'd think there'd be analysts that are smart enough to realize that persistent and reliable lumpyness is consistency. After all, you'd think a few at some point in time, would reach at least the intelligence threshold of you, I, and most of the rest of us. Exclusive of those we most have on Ignore. LOL
