Shorts
I don't often check the OTC market data on QTRHF, but I did so this morning. It shows a significant rise is short positions on QTRHF...over 400K shares for the last 3 reporting periods.

This finding led me to check Canadian data via shortdata.ca, which shows that shorts have risen from mid-to-high single digits as a percent of total trades (volume and dollar value) to near 20%.

Thanks for sharing this. I wouldn't want to be short at the moment. Volume on the downside (selling) has disappeared and days to cover shorts has expanded remarkably. This is a classic short trap and any news trigger will send this flying.

That strikes me as a somewhat dangerous short. Aside from the fact that the stock is cheap relative to the balance sheet, there is always the possibility of a settlement announcement--which could pop the stock pretty much instantly. Could the growing US short position reflect some kind of hedging strategy? I don't see how given that the company has no convertibles outstanding.

This is not a good short setup whatsoever. It is too bad as it would be nice to have some short covering on this stock when there are announcements or an inevitable win against Apple.
