The same thing happened last winter in Australia (during the  summer in North America). Three likely explanations are; 1 People wearing masks to block covid also blocks    the flu virus 2  Less people going to offices or crowsed games reduces      exposure to the flu. 3  much less kissy-face amongst strangers at parties or pubs Oh. lots of hand washing
