here are an equal number of banks saying this went too far too fast.  Goldman certainly has skin in the game as they have been touting this 'super smile' now for months. But they are saying multi year/decade highs sooner rather than later.

Nobody is an oracle and these things are only know with certainty in retrospect. Virtually every analyst has skin in the game as well. Many, many, catalysts right now and there hasn't been a setup like this since the early 2000s.
