Tesla Gets a $94 Billion Reality Check as EV Winter Sets In

“Investors’ main concern on Tesla is stagnating growth,” Cowen analyst Jeffrey Osborne said in an interview. The price cuts in China only fan those concerns, because it is starting to look like “a race to the bottom for the EV industry given intense competition in that market.”

To make matters worse, the odds of an imminent turnaround for the EV maker don’t look good.

Tesla has been cutting prices on its cars aggressively since early 2023 in an effort to boost demand. But the result has been a steady erosion of its once-hefty profit margin. Tesla’s automotive gross margin ex-regulatory credits for the third quarter fell to 16.3% from 27.9% a year ago. And the pressure is only mounting, now that production workers at Tesla’s US plants are getting pay raises.

“We are going through a cyclical downturn for EVs, but competitive dynamics are exacerbating the cyclical pressures,” Ivana Delevska, chief investment officer at Spear Invest, said in an interview. “Price cuts and plummeting margins are all a function of these unfavorable competitive dynamics.”

What was all this nonsense about EV sales going bonkers?

"Why do you all avoid answering the question.???" Oh the irony.  Or perhaps the MAGA - accuse everyone of the exact same thing you do. In any event, start answering all the questions you've been asked and ye shall receive.

Lol lol lol lol lol...you talking about realism. Your a canadian hoser not American!  Who you trying to kid?  I thought you said Cuba was doing well!  Then why are so many people leaving? Maybe they want to drive EVs in LA lol. Jean chretien talked out of 1 side of his mouth because he had a stroke but you talk out of both sides. A true politician. You must be close to some ...more

Agreed pal, this guy is a snake oil salesman. Never responding to my questions. If Sherritt is in such great shape why is the sp $0.30?  He failed to recognize the political instability of Cuba as a result of the embargo and helms-burton title III.

Here I'll answer the question so try and read slowly to understand eventhough u have me on ignore and cant read my messages. Sherritt was at $18 during the Obama years when he opened up communications with Cuba and hope that the embargo would be lifted. When Obama left and Trump came in, Trump enacted, put into force whatever etc the Helms-Burton Act related to Title III and allowing USA ...more

The day Sherritt faces the original owners of Moa in court is the day they see themselves declaring bankruptcy after the verdict. You are correct in that the only value left in the company is dodging the consequences of Helms-Burton as long as they can.  Their attempts to diversify away from Cuba was probably their strategy to getting out from under its effect - and that backfired ...more

I gave you another like pal. We're on the same page. We can only hope Biden in his demented state decides Cuba is a friend and cuts the noose. Trump will only crank up the pressure.  Regime change is the goal. Sherritt would be better off investing with others into cnc.v instead of expanding production in Cuba.  What is a sure thing is the board at sherritt IMHO uses the company ...more

There's an interesting thought.  Biden is reelected, and now immune from retribution by the South Florida ex-pat community and he looks for something to remember him by in the history books. That would certainly make the stock pop for a short while.  The manipulators and speculators would be feasting on the gains - for a short while. Now, that isn't a bad idea that Sherritt ...more

Agreed...I'm out at breakeven. The problem is low volumes.  I'll be bailing like so many others which will put down pressure on the sp. Tough gig to master. Maybe Mr V  can buy my shares since he's bought in since 1996 lol.

Well done Sanguinity!  But because you're apparently me, I guess I'll pat myself on the back too lol. Great narrative.  It won't matter, the obtuse one won't be able to understand it. He's a promoter at heart. Apparently he has me on ignore but keeps getting my posts withdrawn for bullying. Hmmm how is it that he reads our posts lol.
