According to the amalgamation certificate:

" the Corporation shall round up to the next whole share the number of Common Shares to be delivered to any particular Holder upon such conversion. "

No fractional AmalCo Shares shall be issued pursuant to the Arrangement. In lieu of any fractional AmalCo Shares, each registered Pipestone Shareholder otherwise entitled to a fractional interest in an AmalCo Share will receive the nearest whole number of AmalCo Shares. For greater certainty, where such fractional interest is greater than or equal to 0.5, the number of AmalCo Shares to be issued

Thanks uwebb, I thought I had read that before, but couldn't find the reference again. Odd that Watrous is posting incorrect info. And it is normal to round down below a half share and round up above it. Thanks for the clarification.

That's what I read, but my broker, in my case, said they usually round down. I guess that's their commission.
