When will  management act to prevent the value of WEF shares from evaporating further?
Comment by uwebb429 on Nov 08, 2023 4:22pm
What can management do to stop the slide? WTI peaked on the day of the vote, Sep 27th. Since then WTI is down over 20%. The WCS WTI differential has widened. WCS is down almost 30%. Great timing to become a small part of a new Canadian Oil and Gas Champion.   SCR will be releasing their Q3 results and will be having a conference call next Tuesday, Nov 14th. https://www ...more

I think they are deeply concerned about the "market" value of WEF dropping by 25% since going public a month ago. It took years and billions of dollars of investment to build SCR into what it is today. Now, a 10% float of a very fickle base of shareholders determine swings in the share price. They are also concerned that uncontrollable market factors magnify the volitility, but that is ...more

"dropping by 25%"??? Where do you come up with that bs? It has fallen over 40% after Watrous displayed what priks they are.

Tyler, It's to me to get off the Waterous hate train.  They owed pipe shareholders nothing when they bought it.  PIPE management undervalued and screwed shareholders not Strathcona.  You know how this business works, why keep acting like the buyer screwed the shareholders not the seller.  Under your reasoning,SCR should have offered more, even  after the idiot PiPE ...more

Watrous is the one who has lost us 40% since the deal was announced, not PIPE's management, even though it was their stupidity that led us into this mess.

Tylerreddick (Watrous is the one who has lost us 40% since the deal was announced, not PIPE's management, even though it was their stupidity that led us into this mess.) I think you can thank GMT Capital for most of the price drop. They have been selling consistantly ever since the deal was approved. I believe they owned 53 mil shares of PIPE at the time.

" I think you can thank GMT Capital for most of the price drop. They have been selling consistantly ever since the deal was approved. " Could you provide a source for that, as they aren't reporting any sales on SEDI. Thanks

Thank you filefish. Interesting to see that the ultimate Dark Knight in this equation (Riverstone) have not sold any SCR shares ? Additionally, since they owned in aggregate 82% of Hammerhead Shares that they just sold to Crescent Point, they're actively moving about on the monopoly board. Perhaps this week we'll get some clarity on Strathcona's objectives.     ...more

Ok, but you posted: " They have been selling consistantly ever since the deal was approved ", which was a false statement. GMT has sold nothing since the conversion.
Comment by filefish on Nov 11, 2023 5:20pm
To further clarify - from what I see on SEDI, the tollowing sales were filed the day(s) before and after the announcement and just prior to new trading on SCR: GMT Capital, on behalf of partners    1,002,000 PIPE Directors + officers                    4,400,000 So thats 5.4 million PIPE shares unloaded in a couple of days . Its no wonder ...more

Hi Huntamun1234 The quote " I still expect Strathcona shares to trade at or above $40 before year end...: in that post actually came from me.  He was quoting me. I honestly believe at the time that the management and controlling shareholders of Strathcona would promote their SCR shares after the merger.  Clearly I was wrong. My wife and I still own thousands of SCR shares and ...more
