(11) The Most Exciting Gold Story Today! 183M oz Gold, 900M oz Silver! | Rudi Fronk - Seabridge Gold - YouTube

Rudys statements (abridged):
"The majors are probably the worst capital allocators out there... If you look of our industrie however all the major gold companies on the long haul have underperformed the gold price by big way. For example, Barrick, they have probably been the worst in terms of equity dilution... they destroyed share holder value by decreasing ounces of reserves per commen shares production."

He shows a slide with the headline: “Shrinking shareholder value” with the data of four majors: Barrick, Newmont, Kinross and Agnico Eagle.

For the fact that Rudy seems to be in very serious negotiations with six majors about a joint venture, Rudy doesn't exactly talk very nicely about the Barricks of this world.

If I, as a major, were sitting at the negotiating table with him and had to listen to his remarks, I would certainly not be thrilled.

Someone will have to explain the tactics to me.

If I remember correctly I think Rudi has said as much in a video 6 weeks ago?

Rudi is indeed looking for a copper producer with the idea, they do all the capitol and labor...the gold is separated from the copper, and Seabridge essentially gets the gold for free. In addition (I believe) they want to maintain a 30% ownership. Not sure how accurate my sources are, but I am told, the only companies that could pull it off (or be interested) would be a few Chinese companies. If ...more

There are a lot of base metal companies big enough and skilled enough to build and operate KSM that are not Chinese...BHP, RTZ, Vale, Anglo American, Glencore, Southern Copper come to mind.  A base metal company makes sense because they have more experience with megaprojects like KSM.

I understand Chinese labor and materials are both cheaper and could be quicker. I don't put anything past Rudi at this point "to maintain Seabridge value for the shareholder"  No one is JVing with either Seabridge or Treety Creak until this is resolved...and that's fine with me as we have work to do. No concreat offer is going to come in unless it's contingent on this ...more
